WEB Anthony Mackie, star of the upcoming Disney+ series 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier', was interviewed on 'The Tonight Show' last night. Mackie discussed his career and upcoming projects, including 'Captain America: New World Order' and 'Avengers: Secret Wars'.
Mackie has been featured in feature films, television series, and Broadway and Off-Broadway plays, including 'Ma Rainey's Black Bottom', 'Drowning Crow', 'All the Way', and 'Altered Carbon'. He is best known for his role as Sam Wilson / Falcon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier', Mackie stars alongside Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier. The series follows the two characters as they team up to stop a new threat to the world.
Mackie is excited for fans to see the series, which he says is "a great story about friendship, loyalty, and sacrifice." He also praised his co-star Stan, saying that he is "a great actor and a great friend." Mackie and Stan reprise their roles in Captain America: New World Order, which is scheduled for release in 2024. They will also appear in Avengers: Secret Wars, which is scheduled for release in 2025.
Mackie is also set to star in the upcoming film 'Desert Warrior', which is based on the true story of a US soldier who becomes a bodyguard for an Afghan warlord.
